The differentiators — shelf partners and community intel.

À la carte

One module, not a whole tier.

Every add-on attaches to any plan. A Counter café that just wants shelf partners shouldn't have to buy the forecast to get them.

Shelf partners

Shelf partners, payouts, and the partner portal — without jumping a tier.

Community & competitors

the fine print

  • Free in early access. We're onboarding batch by batch; nothing is billed while we do.
  • No contract. Month to month. Butter earns its keep every four weeks or you stop paying.
  • Every café is its own plan. Run three shops, pay for the ones that need the horsepower.
  • Posted early, on purpose. This menu is live in the product today — the same catalog the app reads.

The Playground

beta · $20/mo

One add-on, every experiment: AI merchandising for your pastry case, competitor price checks, a weekly social studio, and your menu's reputation — plus whatever we ship next, the day it's ready. Betas graduate into the plans above when they've earned it; Playground cafés just get them first.

Questions about the menu

Is Butter free right now?
Yes. We're onboarding cafés batch by batch, and early-access cafés ride free while we do. The menu above is the pricing that turns on when billing does — no surprises, and you'll hear from us well before.
Do I have to jump a whole tier for one feature?
No — that's what the à-la-carte add-ons are for. A Kitchen cafe that only wants shelf partners adds the pack for less than half the tier jump.
What's the Playground?
The corner of Butter where new features live while they're in beta — one add-on, every experiment, including whatever we ship next. Features graduate out of the Playground into the regular plans when they've earned it.
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month, cancel whenever. Butter has to earn its keep every four weeks, same as everything else in your café.
What counts as an AI generation?
The expensive kind of magic: a weekly social brief, a Butter Knife insight for a shelf partner — work where Butter writes something for you. Forecasts and invoice matching don't count against it.
