Before you ask
Leaving costs you nothing.
A café having a bad quarter cancels software becauseit's having a bad quarter. So cancelling doesn't take your numbers away — the café goes read-only and everything you counted stays legible. Come back in March and it's where you left it.

Questions about the menu
- Can I sign up today?
- Not on your own, not yet. Butter is invite-only while we're in beta, so we can listen to a few cafés properly before we open the door. Get on the list and we'll write when your turn comes. Cafés in the beta pay nothing while it lasts.
- How much is Butter?
- $99 a month for one café, and that covers the whole product: counting, sales history, forecasting, order drafts, invoice reconciliation, staffing and schedule-vs-actual, written insights, consignment, the neighborhood radar, and assistant access. Nothing is metered.
- Is there a free plan?
- Not as an ongoing plan. While we're in beta, an invited café pays nothing. When we open to everyone, every new café gets 30 days free instead, no card, nothing held back. Butter needs a few weeks of your own sales before a forecast means much, which is why it's 30 days and not 14.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- If you don't subscribe, the café goes read-only. Every count, invoice, order and forecast you made is still there and still readable — you just can't add to it. Nothing is deleted, and subscribing later picks up exactly where you stopped.
- I run more than one café. What then?
- Each café is its own subscription at $99. They're genuinely separate — separate stock, separate vendors, separate forecast — and you run them from one login. If you're opening several at once, talk to us.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Month to month, cancel whenever. Butter has to earn its keep every four weeks, same as everything else in your café.
